[Apple iPod] Itunes/Quicktime in Vista

I have an issue with playing quicktime videos from iItunes (which uses
quicktime) from my Vista box. The audio works fine but the video lags so
horribly it's not watchable. These same videos play fine on my Ipod.
Apparently this is not an uncommon problem as I was talking to my Niece this
morning and they have the same problem on most of their 'puters. Is anyone
on the list running into this??? If so have you been able to correct it?
