[Apple iPod] iPod Ebooks

As a book publisher, I'm looking for the best way to convert our titles to ebooks readable on iPods. Are there any options which allow html formatting or including the book cover - or is a plain text file my only option? Also - what about bookmarking to preserve your place when you come back to it?
