[Apple iPod] collection clean up

I recently got an inano the new one.. which I'm loving.. but means I
need to clean up my collection..

My problems:

how do I find duplicates? and remove them?
how can I find out what has album art and what doesn't -track by
track
I stupidly downloaded some album art via itunes.. (the latest one).
and now find.. it's not embedded.. is there anything that will do
this?

Also.. I have music on a varierty of drives - wirelss and networked
an on the laptop.. is this ok.. how do I make sure that it all stays
ok..

Once I've cleaned it up:

how do I back up
- the files
- the art
- the playlist..
- everything..

I also have more than one ipod (me and my fiance) - can we both keep
our separate ratings?
