In re: to concerns about revealing your desktop when exiting presentation mode:
There is a free program called Presentation Stage that allows you to select a solid color backdrop that masks your desktop.
I advise clients to take a screen shot of their first slide (usually denoting subject title and presenter name) and use that as the secondary screen desktop. Or if they are going to break out of Kn into another app like Photoshop, get it ready on the secondary screen. Downside – the menu stays on the main screen, so sometimes it’s better to go into mirror mode and be be done with it.
Def a failure of KN not to be able to use a key combo to bring thumbnails of the entire show to the presenter screen.
