Hi all,
I've received a note from Kathy Moran who is a senior contact at IDG
Macworld regarding "BOF" meetings.
Here's what she wrote and I'm wondering if Keynote might be a topic to
introduce at MW 2009:
"Hello! If you would like to submit a topic for a Birds-of-a-Feather (BOF)
Meeting, please send me the title and description of the BOF by November 7.
Anyone interested in submitting a proposal to be a BOF Leader should be
prepared to facilitate the discussion, and help answer any questions people
may have. BOFs are open to all attendees at Macworld C&E, and will take
place Wednesday, January 7 from 6:30pm-7:30pm.
If you aren’t familiar with BOFs, they are informal, networking discussions.
No A/V equipment is supplied for these meetings. They are an opportunity for
attendees to get together and ask questions, talk about concerns and
challenges they may be experiencing, and network around specific topics.
Deadline to submit: November 7, 2008"
Not the deadline, and come back to me if you think this is an idea to run
with. I'd like to see it occur Tuesday aftertoon (after the Jobs's Keynote -
iWork 09 announced?) or Friday, as my Keynote Powertools workshop is Tuesday
and Wednesday.
Regards
Les
