Re: [applekeynote] No audio when exporting from Keynote to QuickTime

This was discussed awhile back and I found a workaround till Apple gets this worked out. Right/Control-click the KN file and open the Package Contents. In there is an audio file that has the soundtrack. Open it in QT, select all and copy. Then open the QT file exported from KN, go to the beginning of the movie, select Edit>Add To Movie. Save and you'll be all set.

Hello!

Had similar problems a while back. Went to speak to a genius at Apple and he tried it on his machine and it worked. Only reason he could give me was that he had "all the pro apps". I upgraded to QT Pro and it worked, but then didn't again.. and was always intermittent from then on.

Right pain in the butt!

Hope that helps?

Apologies if this issue has already been discussed.

We have an Apple Mobile Classroom containing MacBooks and I am trying
to get staff and students to create a simple podcast using Keynote
slides which have been narrated over using the built-in audio record
tool.

The audio records fine and plays back within Keynote; however when the
file is exported to QuickTime (or Garageband) the audio is lost. This
is using 10.5.5 and the latest versions of Keynote and QT.

Apparently this is a known bug but I am amazed it hasn't been fixed
yet. Anyone have a work-around?

cheers
