Read all the messages. I followed up with this.

Put it back together in your browser. I guess the Yahoo system breaks long links."

It's just the article, the link to the images is in Les' message.

Google is going to offer the Life Magazine archive for FREE (with  
ongoing new photos).

I assume if you want to use them for commercial purposes they will be  
happy to charge you a few bucks.
The days of the gouging stock photo companies is soon over. Getty!  
Bwaaahahaaaa.

Isn't it nice that a company like Google uses some of it's profits to  
buy an asset like
the Life archive and instead of hording it and charging hundreds per  
image (old school) they think of a new model of doing business.
One where it's free for most folks and affordable when you do want to  
use it for professional use.
The volume of use due to affordability makes them the $.
Genius!
