Isn't it nice that a company like Google uses some of it's profits to
buy an asset like
the Life archive and instead of hording it and charging hundreds per
image (old school) they think of a new model of doing business.
One where it's free for most folks and affordable when you do want to
use it for professional use.
The volume of use due to affordability makes them the $.
