Re: [applekeynote] Endpoint, orientation and size of action builds

My approach is to start creating the compound slide at the end, and work backwards, sort-of deconstructing it. That way I have the 'end' as a starting point for the slide that follows. Might sound odd, but when you actually get into working in this way it is fairly useful. It's not a fix, more an approach to the method of building the overall piece. I visualise the various elements across several slides, and within each individual slide, and then decide where I'll finish, and work back from there. Does that make sense?

I wish it had been, but unless I've forgotten myself I have never had
a quick and reliable way to do this. What I use is trial and error:
reasonably reliable, but not at all quick.

Ultimately this is the sort of thing that separates Keynote users
from PowerPoint users: the true Keynote user is willing to spend a
hour getting something pixel-perfect even if it's not going to be on
the screen for more than a couple of seconds. At least in the days
when I used PowerPoint (up to about three years ago) it wasn't
possible to get things pixel-perfect no matter how much time I was
willing to spend. Even objects copied from one slide and pasted into
the next didn't end up in exactly the same place.
