I imagine that having to push a DVI connector into place on that
hinged flap/port on MacBook Air is quite fiddly. DVI connectors, in my
experience, are pretty stiff. Small wonder if you didn't manage to
push the connector all the way home: I wouldn't want to break a
MacBook Air. Apple suggests tilting the Air with one hand, while
plugging cables and USB devices in. No doubt it's not a mistake you'll
make now you're watching for it.
Somewhat related: I note that MacBook Air only offers video mirroring.
I assume that means you can't get a presenter view up on your own
screen? There were patches for the iBooks to overcome this limitation,
if I remember rightly. I assume that the the plastic MacBooks (and
therefore the Air) have this same limitation, and are therefore ripe
for a patch?
