Re: [Apple iPod] 160GB iPod Classic or 32GB iPod Touch?

I agree, if your main use is music, though whether you choose the 80 or
160 would depend on which one you think is the better price deal. I
believe you should always buy the most storage you can afford, but an 80
will hole A LOT of music, ebooks and videos.
I have a Classic on which I've got a more than 900 songs plus many
album covers, and 65 podcasts, including a couple that are videocasts,
and a couple of books and I'm using maybe 7 Gb. If I paid a little more
attention to taking off stuff I've listened to, I'd use less space.
I listen mostly to the podcasts, including video. The video is great
-- for watching, say, Meet the Press, while on an airplane flight to New
Orleans.
I've used a Touch. The screen is larger than the Classic. If you're
into renting movies, you'll probably like that. You also can use the
calendar and email. The latter is pretty useful if you have regular
access to WiFi. The calendar isn't any better than what's on most any
cell phone -- at least until the 2.0 operating system and all the
software we've been hearing non-specifically about comes available.
The iPhone is a Touch with a telephone. Given the tone of your
question, I'd recommend not wasting the money. Until all that 2.0
software comes available, you'll be lots happier, especially money-wise,
with a Classic or Touch and a regular cell phone.
