I'm a novice Keynote user. I purchased Keynote a few years ago to make
a (QuickTime) movie from my wife's school's end-of-year slide show.
I've been making the movie with a single audio track soundtrack for
the last couple of years.
I just upgraded to a new Mac recently, so I got the latest version of
Keynote to go with it.
The slide show is self-running, and the single audio track is about
the same length as the slide show.
Of course the slide show plays just fine from the computer, but I'm
not sure what I'm doing wrong when I'm exporting to QuickTime that's
making Keynote tell me with an error message toward the end of the
export that my file is not exportable to QuickTime.
I've set the size according to what we used in the past, as this video
plays in a little "yearbook." I set video compression to MPEG4, 24
fps, with quality at "high."
I have a feeling the problem is with the audio side of things, because
I am able to export a nice movie to QuickTime if I use a shorter audio
track, but of course it only lasts for the first 3 minutes or so of
the movie.
The audio track that I made lasts for the entire length of the movie,
and has some edits/crossfades at appropriate times according to what
slides are showing.
If anyone has any suggestions so that I can make a successful movie, I
sure would appreciate them!
Thanks!
Ken Newman
